Brazilian egg consumption is set to reach 2.4 million metric tons by 2026. This is an increase of 0.8% annually from 2021, when the figure was 2.3 million metric tons. Since 2017, Brazilian demand has grown by 0.4% each year. In 2021, the country ranked 7th in terms of consumption, behind Russia (2.3 million metric tons). The United States, India and Japan came in second, third and fourth, respectively.
