Egg consumption in India is on the rise. According to a recent report, it is expected to reach nearly 5 million metric tons by 2026. This represents an annual growth rate of 1.2%. Since 2017, India's demand for eggs has increased by almost 1% per year. In 2021, the US ranked number 1 in egg consumption at 4.5 million metric tons, followed by India and Japan at 3rd and 4th place respectively.
