Vietnam is set to become one of the world’s largest consumers of eggs by 2026. The demand for eggs in Vietnam is projected to reach 563,000 metric tons by 2026, up 1.6% annually on average from 510,000 metric tons in 2021. Since 2017, egg consumption in the country has increased by 1.3% each year. In 2021, Vietnam was the world’s 24th biggest consumer of eggs, just ahead of Myanmar at 510,000 metric tons. The United States, India, and Japan were the top three egg consumers, respectively.
