Austrian egg consumption is on the rise. By 2026, it is expected to reach 150,000 metric tons, up 0.8% from 2021. Since 2017, demand has increased by 0.7% each year. In 2021, Austria placed 43rd in egg consumption. It was overtaken by Kazakhstan, which consumed 139,000 metric tons. The United States, India and Japan ranked second, third and fourth, respectively.
