Fijians are consuming more eggs each year. By 2026, Fijian egg consumption is estimated to reach 7,000 metric tons – a 3.1% average annual growth. This rate has been steady since 2017. In 2021, Fiji came in at number 124 in the world rankings with 6,000 metric tons consumed. The Maldives was ahead with the same amount. The top three countries were the United States, India, and Japan.
