Uganda's livestock production is on the rise, with an expected 13 million heads of livestock by 2026. This is an increase of 1.8% from the 11.5 million heads recorded in 2021. This is a 3.4% increase from the $7.1 million reported in 2021. Since 1999, the country has seen an impressive 16.3% growth per year. In 2021, Uganda placed 90th in the world, with Angola at $7.1 million ahead. Germany, Italy and the Netherlands came in 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
