Kazakhstan's livestock production is expected to reach almost 10 million heads by 2026. It has increased by 3.3% year-on-year since 1997, and in 2021 the country was ranked 41st, with Uruguay overtaking it with 9.1 million heads. Brazil, India and the United States were the 2nd, 3rd and 4th in this ranking, respectively. Kazakhstan's livestock imports are expected to reach $60 million by 2026. It has grown at an average rate of 2.4% year-on-year since 2005, and in 2021 the country was ranked 50th, with the Czech Republic overtaking it with $52 million. Germany, Italy and the Netherlands were the 2nd, 3rd and 4th in this ranking, respectively.
