Mexico's livestock production is expected to hit almost 46 million heads in 2026, according to a recent report. This is an increase of 0.6% annually since 1966. In 2021, the country ranked ninth in this area, while Argentina topped the list with 44.1 million heads. Brazil, India and the US came in second, third and fourth place respectively. Meanwhile, imports of livestock are expected to fall by 2.9% annually to reach $93 million by 2026. Since 1995, the demand for livestock in Mexico has increased by a rate of 0.7% each year. In 2021, Switzerland was the leading exporter, followed by Germany, Italy and the Netherlands.
