Algerian livestock production is set to increase by 0.8% year-on-year, reaching 6.9 million heads by 2026. This is up from 6.6 million heads in 2021, and is slightly higher than the 0.3% growth seen since 1966. Algeria placed 54th in the 2021 rankings, with Ireland overtaking them. Brazil, India, and the United States ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Algerian livestock imports are set to grow at an average of 0.9% year-on-year, reaching $125.4 million by 2026. This is up from $118.5 million in 2021, and is slightly higher than the 0.8% growth seen since 1997. Algeria placed 35th in the 2021 rankings, with Thailand overtaking them. Germany, Italy and the Netherlands ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
