Moroccan livestock production is set to reach 8.6 million heads by 2026, according to a recent report. This is an average increase of 0.8% each year since 1966. Morocco ranked 49th in 2021, behind Thailand at 8.1 million heads. Brazil, India and the United States came in second, third and fourth respectively. Moroccan livestock imports are projected to reach $119 million by 2026, an annual growth rate of 2.2% since 1998. Morocco was ranked 39th in 2021, behind Slovakia at $103 million. Germany, Italy and the Netherlands came in second, third and fourth respectively.
