Nigerien livestock production is expected to reach 15 million heads by 2026 - up from 13.5 million in 2021 - according to a year-on-year CAGR of 1.9%. This follows an increase of 3.6% since 1966. The country currently sits in 28th place, just behind South Africa's 13.5 million heads. Brazil, India and the United States hold the top three spots. Nigerien livestock imports are also predicted to rise by 1.7% CAGR from 2021's $165,140 to $182,460 by 2026. This follows a year-on-year increase of 2.2% since 2000. Germany, Italy and the Netherlands hold the highest rankings in this regard.
