Slovak livestock production is due to reach almost half a million heads by 2026, dropping 2% year on year since 1998. In 2021, Slovakia was placed 134th in terms of production, with Papua New Guinea overtaking at 548,860 heads. Brazil, India and the US were the top three countries for livestock production. Meanwhile, Slovak livestock import is set to grow by 1.4% year on year, reaching $116.2 million by 2026. Since 1999, Slovak demand has grown by 6.8% year on year. In 2021, Mexico overtook Slovakia in terms of imports, with $106.7 million. Germany, Italy and the Netherlands were the next three countries in this ranking.
