Since the year 2000, demand in Serbia's telecom sector has surged by 7% annually. In the 2023 rankings, Serbia held the 21st position globally. Bulgaria edged out Serbia, also reporting telecom expenditures of €2.1 billion. Meanwhile, France, the United Kingdom, and Italy ranked second, third, and fourth, respectively, in the global telecom expenditure rankings.
