Uruguay is set to import phosphate to the tune of $4.3 million by 2026, dropping 5.5% year on year, according to a report. This is a 2.4% decrease from 1999 figures. In 2021, the country ranked 34th in imports, with Germany standing at the top spot at $5.9 million. The United States, Indonesia and Lithuania came in 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Uruguay is also set to export phosphate, reaching $203,000 by 2026, with a 0.2% year on year growth. Since 1999, the country recorded a 7.9% year on year decrease. Denmark took the top spot in 2021 at $200,890 with Jordan, Russia and Peru following in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place respectively.
