Romania's phosphate imports dropped 2.2% in 2021 compared to the previous year, reaching $6.4 million. This is 19.1% lower than the figure in 1994. Iran was the largest importer with $6.4 million, followed by the US, Indonesia and Lithuania. In 2018, Romania's phosphate exports soared 98.7% to $5.3 million, though this is still 48.8% lower than in 2012. Switzerland had the highest exports at $5.3 million, with Jordan, Russia and Peru following in second, third and fourth place respectively.
