Slovene phosphate imports are set to drop slightly this year. According to forecasts, the figure will fall from $83,920 in 2021 to $82,280 in 2026, averaging a decline of 0.3% year on year. Since 1999, there has been a downward trend in Slovene demand for phosphates, with a decrease of 13.5% year on year. In 2021, the country ranked 68th, overtaken by the United Arab Emirates with $83,920. The United States, Indonesia and Lithuania followed in second, third and fourth place. Meanwhile, since 2000, Slovene supplies have dropped by 41.9% year on year. In 2018, the country was in 54th place, with Ireland coming in ahead with $844. Jordan, Russia and Peru followed in second, third and fourth place.
