Azerbaijan's phosphate imports surged 101% in 2019, with $1,810 worth of the mineral imported into the country. This was a significant jump from the $902 imported in 2018, and saw Azerbaijan overtake Israel to become the 98th largest importer of phosphate. The United States, Indonesia and Lithuania were the top three importers of phosphate, respectively.
