Qatari phosphate imports are set to plunge 16.2% per year on average over the next five years, falling from $6.3 billion in 2021 to $2.4 billion in 2026. The country ranked 90th in the world in 2021 with imports of such commodities, behind the Bahamas at $6.3 billion and ahead of the United States, Indonesia, and Lithuania in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place respectively. Since 2005, Qatari demand for phosphate has declined 15.2% per year on average.
