The Netherlands is set to see a drop in lithium imports and exports over the coming years. Exports are projected to dip by 7.1% year-on-year, from 206,500 kilogrammes in 2021 to 131,660 kilogrammes in 2026. This is a continuation of the downward trend since 1997, when exports decreased by 8.4% year-on-year. In 2021, the Netherlands was 13th in global exports, with Thailand ahead at 206,500 kilogrammes. Argentina, Belgium, and China followed in second, third, and fourth respectively.
