Slovak Lithium imports are set to reduce by 0.7% year-on-year on average, reaching 6,400 kilograms by 2026. Since 1999, Slovak demand has dropped by 7%. In 2021, the country ranked 45th, with Romania coming in ahead with 6,800 kilograms. China, Japan and the United States placed second, third and fourth respectively. Slovak Lithium exports plummeted 71% in 2018, from 1,650 kilograms in 2017 to 477 kilograms. This placed Slovakia at number 39 in the ranking, with Portugal overtaking with 477 kilograms. Argentina, Belgium and China came in second, third and fourth respectively.
