Omani imports of lithium tumbled by 59.4% in 2018, reaching 28 kilograms. This is a sharp drop compared to the 69 kilograms imported in 2017. Since 1994, demand for lithium in Oman has grown by an average of 22.9% year-on-year. However, the country fell to 77th place in 2018, overtaken by Algeria which imported 28 kilograms. China, Japan, and the United States ranked second, third, and fourth respectively.
