Qatar's demand for lithium is projected to reach 630.35kg by 2026, growing at a year-on-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.2%. Since 2017, the country's demand for lithium has increased by more than a fifth (22.7%) annually. In 2021, Qatar was the 65th biggest importer of lithium, surpassed by Morocco which imported 485.1kg. China, Japan and the United States were the top three importers, respectively.
