On the import side, global tungsten imports are expected to reach $1.1 billion by 2026, a decrease of 0.1% annually since 2021. Compared to 2016, imports have grown 8% each year. The United States is number one in global tungsten imports, reaching $210 million in 2021. Germany, Japan and Austria ranked second, third and fourth respectively. Botswana experienced a 226% increase in imports since 2016, while Tanzania had a decrease of 75%.
