Korean imports and exports of graphite are on the rise. By 2026, imports are projected to reach around $105.4 million, a 3.9% year-on-year increase since 2021. Since 1993, imports have grown an average of 22.6% each year. In 2021, South Korea was the second largest importer of graphite, behind Japan with $83.4 million. South Korea, the United States and Germany were the next three biggest importers. Exports of graphite from South Korea are estimated to reach $1.6 million by 2026, a 1.3% year-on-year average rate since 2021. Since 1993, supplies have increased 2.4% each year. In 2021, the country ranked 22nd for exports, behind Slovakia with $1.4 million. Brazil, Germany and the United States were the next three largest exporters.
