Belgium is set for a modest increase in graphite imports and exports over the next five years. Imports are projected to reach $14 million by 2026, up 1.8% year on year on average. This follows a 6.6% year on year rise since 2004. In 2021, Belgium was in ninth place in the ranking of countries importing graphite, with Austria surpassing it at $12.4 million. South Korea, the US and Germany were in second, third and fourth places respectively. Exports of graphite from Belgium are also set to increase, reaching $8.8 million by 2026, up 3.9% year on year on average. This follows a 17% rise since 2004. In 2021, Belgium was in ninth place in the ranking of countries exporting graphite, with Japan ahead at $6.9 million. Brazil, Germany and the US were in second, third and fourth places respectively.
