Norwegian Limestone imports are forecast to drop by 13.7% to 8.2 million kilograms by 2026. This would continue the downward trend that began in 1998, when imports declined by 6.1% year-on-year. Exports of limestone from Norway are expected to increase by 1.1% to 322 million kilograms by 2026. This follows the upward trend since 1998, when exports rose by 2.2% annually. Norway was in 18th place in 2021, behind Germany (who was in first place at 296.5 million kilograms). India, Oman and Malaysia followed in second, third and fourth place respectively. Sales of limestone in Norway decreased from 2.5 billion kilograms in 2014 to 1.9 billion kilograms in 2015. Norway was in 16th place in 2015, behind Lithuania (who was in first place at 1.9 billion kilograms). Germany, France and Spain followed in second, third and fourth place respectively.
