British limestone imports are predicted to reach 577 million kilograms by 2026, with an average annual growth rate of 4.3% since 1998. Sales of British limestone fell by 27% in 2019, from 3.4 billion kilograms to 2.5 billion kilograms. The UK was ranked 13th, with Slovakia ahead at 2.5 billion kilograms. Germany, France and Spain ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
