In 2021, Malaysia was the biggest exporter with 1.4 billion kilograms, followed by India, Oman and Malaysia in that order. Belgian limestone import, on the other hand, dropped to 554,000 kilograms in 2021 from 7.5 million kilograms in 2020, a decrease of 92.6%. Since 2004, demand has decreased by 59.4% annually. India and Malaysia were the top two importers in 2021.
