Malagasy quartz import is projected to increase to 865,370 kilograms by 2026, up 4.9% on average every year since 2021. That would mean a 43.4% increase in demand since 1995. Last year, Costa Rica was in the number one spot with 646,750 kilograms. China, Norway, and France came in second, third, and fourth respectively. Malagasy quartz export was at 26,000 kilograms in 2018, a significant 49.2% decrease compared to 2017's 51,230 kilograms. Since 1995, the country has seen a 36.5% drop in supply. Chile was number one in 2018 with 26,000 kilograms. China, Spain, and Norway were second, third, and fourth respectively.
