Japan is set to be one of the leading producers of quartz in the world, with exports rising by 71.7% since 1993. In 2021, the country ranked 11th in terms of exports, with 34.9 million kilograms, while Egypt came in first. China, Spain and Norway followed in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place respectively. Meanwhile, imports of quartz in Japan are expected to reach 54 million kilograms by 2026 - a small decrease of 0.4% year-on-year. The country ranked 10th in 2021, with Bosnia and Herzegovina ahead. China, Norway and France were in the positions of 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
