Mongol exports of quartz skyrocketed in 2018, reaching a total of 650,000 kilograms - a dramatic 16,150 percent increase from the 4,000 kilograms it exported in 2017. The country came in at number 30 in 2018, with Zambia surpassing it at 650,000 kilograms. China, Spain, and Norway, respectively, ranked as numbers two, three and four. However, Mongol demand for quartz has been steadily declining since 2005, dropping by nearly 68 percent year on year. In 2018, Mongolia came in at number 121, with Antigua and Barbuda ahead of it at 7 kilograms. China, Norway, and France were numbers two, three, and four in the ranking.
