Sweden's quartz exports surged 134.3% in 2018, reaching 9,210 kilograms. This was a dramatic increase from the 3,930 kilograms exported in 2017. Despite this, Swedish quartz exports have decreased by 35% since 1997. Thailand was the top exporter in 2018, with China, Spain and Norway ranking second, third and fourth respectively. Meanwhile, quartz imports to Sweden decreased 36% in 2018, reaching 333,060 kilograms. This was a sharp decrease from the 520,530 kilograms imported in 2017. Since 1997, Swedish quartz imports have dropped by 24.3%. Denmark was the top importer in 2018, with China, Norway and France ranking second, third and fourth respectively.
