Austrian imports of quartz dropped by 7.2% in 2021, down to 810,390 kilograms from 873,070 kilograms the previous year. Since 1999, Austrian demand for quartz has declined by 5.2%. Jordan was the top importer with 810,390 kilograms, followed by China, Norway and France. Exports of quartz from Austria are expected to reach 21.2 million kilograms by 2026, a 3.8% increase from 2021's figure of 16.9 million kilograms. Since 1999, Austrian quartz exports have grown 13.2%. Belgium was the biggest exporter in 2021, followed by China, Spain and Norway.
