Latvia's quartz exports plummeted 52 per cent in 2021, compared to the year before. This marks a 51.7 per cent decrease since 2012. Paraguay has now overtaken Latvia and is ranked 71, while Latvia has dropped to 72. China, Spain and Norway came in at numbers two, three and four, respectively. Meanwhile, Latvian quartz imports dropped 87.1 per cent in 2018, compared to 2017. This works out to a 58.6 per cent decrease since 2000. Lithuania has now surpassed Latvia and is ranked 101, while Latvia has dropped to 102. China, Norway and France placed second, third and fourth, respectively.
