Iran's quartz import is forecast to drop 3.4% annually from 1.71 million kilograms in 2021 to 1.4 million kilograms in 2026. Since 2002, Iranian demand for the mineral has risen 6.3% each year. As of 2021, Iran was the 43rd biggest importer of quartz, with Tunisia overtaking it with 1.71 million kilograms. China, Norway and France ranked second, third and fourth respectively. Meanwhile, Iranian quartz exports surged 1,010% from 10,900 kilograms in 2016 to 121,410 kilograms in 2017. Since 2002, however, the country's supply of the mineral has decreased by 56.9% each year.
