Kyrgyzsilica sand import is set to hit 166 million kilograms by 2026, according to a recent report. In 2021, the country imported 138 million kilograms, a 3.1% year-on-year growth. Since 2005, Kyrgyz demand has grown an average of 15.7% annually. Spain topped the list of importers in 2021, followed by Slovenia, Singapore and Belgium. Meanwhile, Kyrgyz silica sand export declined 6.1% in 2021, reaching 2.45 million kilograms. Since 2005, the country's supply has dropped 20.9% year-on-year. In 2021, Kyrgyzstan ranked 51st in the list of exporters, behind Bosnia and Herzegovina. The US, Belgium and Germany rounded out the top four.
