Ghana's silica sand imports totalled 1.14 million kilograms in 2018, a 379% jump from the 237,730 kilograms imported in 2017. This 45% decrease from 2011 is offset by a 1.2% increase in demand since 2001. Egypt, India, and the United Arab Emirates were the next biggest importers of Ghanaian silica sand.
