Lebanon's exports of silica sand are projected to grow by 4.3% year-on-year in 2026, reaching 39,410 kg. The country's exports have increased by 33.8% since 2005. In 2021, Lebanon ranked 76th in terms of silica sand exports, with Ivory Coast leading with 30,430 kg. The US, Belgium and Germany followed in second, third and fourth place respectively. Lebanon's imports of silica sand have decreased dramatically in 2021, reaching 1,243,500 kg from 1,965,000 kg in 2020 - a decrease of 36.7%. Since 2002, the country's demand for silica sand has decreased by 16.9%. In 2021, Bulgaria overtook Lebanon in terms of imports, with 1,243,500 kg. Slovenia, Singapore and Belgium followed in second, third and fourth place respectively.
