France is set to spend €5.1 billion on laboratories by 2026, according to recent figures. Currently the country stands second in the European ranking, behind Germany, whose expenditure is estimated at €5 billion. Spain and Switzerland come in at third and fourth place respectively. Since 2011, French expenditure on laboratories has grown on average by 0.7% each year. This figure is expected to rise by 0.4% on an annual basis to reach €5.1 billion by 2026.
