By 2026, the global prevalence of HIV/AIDS among people aged 0-14 is projected to decrease to 1.51 million from 1.69 million in 2021, a rate of 2.1% per year on average. Since 1995, the prevalence has decreased by 4.3% per year on average. South Africa had the highest prevalence in 2021, with 319,130 cases. Nigeria, Mozambique, and Tanzania followed in second, third, and fourth place, respectively. Pakistan saw an increase of 15.8% year on year, while Romania saw a decrease of 27.5% year on year since 1995. By 2026, global HIV/AIDS treatment coverage is set to reach 92% of persons living with HIV, up from 76% in 2021, at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 3.1%. Since 2005, the coverage has increased 6.7% per year on average. In 2021, Swaziland had the highest treatment coverage, with 98%. Cape Verde, Latvia, and Zimbabwe followed in second, third, and fourth place, respectively. Madagascar saw an increase of 20.1% year on year, while Suriname decreased by 3% year on year since 2005.
