The percentage of people living with HIV in Canada who receive treatment coverage is steadily increasing. In 2021, 74% of people living with HIV in the country were receiving treatment, up from 72% in 2017. By 2026, it is expected to reach 75%. Canada was ranked 54th in 2021 in terms of treatment coverage, behind Singapore (74%) and Cape Verde (73%), which were ranked first and second, respectively. Latvia and Zimbabwe came in third and fourth place, both with 71%.
