Global walnut production is set to reach 5.5 million metric tons by 2026, with a 2.1% year-on-year growth from 4.8 million metric tons in 2021. Since 1966, global supply has grown 3.3% annually. In 2021, China led the global walnut production with 2.7 million metric tons. The United States, Iran and Mexico followed in second, third and fourth place, respectively. Slovakia saw a 32% year-on-year growth, while Croatia experienced a 41.2% decrease since 1966.
