Indian walnut production is forecast to reach 33,710 metric tons by 2026. This is a slight decrease from 2021 when production reached 34,000 metric tons. This slight decrease is expected to continue at an average rate of 0.2% year-on-year. Since 1966, Indian walnut production has grown at an average rate of 0.6% year-on-year. In 2021, India was the 10th largest producer of walnuts in the world. France overtook India to become the largest producer of walnuts at 34,000 metric tons. The United States, Iran and Mexico were the second, third and fourth largest producers respectively.
