Chinese walnut production is forecast to reach over 3 million metric tons by 2026. This is an increase of 2.6% each year since 2021, when production was 2.7 million metric tons. Since 1966, Chinese supply has increased by an average of 5.2% each year. The United States, Iran and Mexico are the world’s second, third and fourth biggest walnut producers, respectively.
