Global demand for trout is expected to drop by 2% between 2021 and 2026. This fall follows a 6.1% decrease since 2017. Norway is the biggest exporter of trout, with 28.7 million kilograms exported in 2021. Sweden, the United Kingdom and Italy come in as the second, third and fourth biggest exporters, respectively. Russia experienced a 103% increase in trout exports since 2016, while Peru saw a 60% decrease in that same period.
