Canada is set to see a 1.9% increase in imported trout by 2026. In 2021, the country imported 502,400 kilograms of trout, up 7.7% from 1994. However, Canadian exports of trout declined dramatically in 2019, dropping 39% to 103,670 kilograms from 169,890 kilograms in 2018. This 34.2% decrease from 1994 levels pushed Canada down to 29th place, with Ireland taking the lead at 103,670 kilograms. Sweden, the UK and Italy ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
