European Value Added of Healthcare by Country

In 2024, Germany leads the European countries in Healthcare Value Added with a projected 199.14 billion euros. Spain follows with 63.71 billion euros, and the Netherlands ranks third with 36.79 billion euros. Austria and Belgium contribute 21.08 and 20.17 billion euros respectively. Smaller economies like Finland, Greece, and Slovakia add 11.85, 5.68, and 3.35 billion euros. Moreover, Slovenia, Croatia, Estonia, and Cyprus show smaller yet significant contributions ranging from 2.76 billion to 1.21 billion euros.

In 2023, Germany saw a 4.19% YoY increase, while Spain and the Netherlands experienced 2.37% and 1.71% increases respectively. Austria's healthcare value increased by 3.08%, and Belgium's by 1.44%. Finland had a notable jump with a 3.49% variation. Conversely, Greece showed a decline of 1.28%. Slovakia posted a 5.23% increase, and Slovenia observed a remarkable 11.05% growth. Croatia witnessed a 7.11% increase, Estonia saw a 10.04% rise, and Cyprus had a striking 12.45% growth.
