In 2023, European countries displayed varied levels of household out-of-pocket healthcare expenditure relative to GDP. Malta led with 2.26%, while Luxembourg was the lowest at 0.21%. The last year saw Malta's expenditure increase notably by 11.02%, whereas Greece and Cyprus experienced decreases of around 1.5% and 1.44%, respectively.
