Global Central Government Expenditures on Health by Country

The United States leads significantly in central government health expenditures, with a value of 1.6016 trillion US dollars PPP in 2023 and a year-on-year increase of 3.06%. Italy and Japan follow but with substantially lower expenditures. Notable increases were seen in Romania and Estonia. Denmark, however, greatly reduced its spending by 22.38% in 2023. While most countries showed modest positive trends, the Netherlands was an exception with a slight decrease.
