By 2026, music revenue in Europe is projected to reach €12.3 billion, up 1.5% from €11.3 billion in 2021. That's an average annual growth rate of 1.9% since 2016. Expenditure on music in Europe is expected to decrease slightly from €703 million in 2021 to €744 million by 2026. This is a 0.1% annual decrease since 2016, when it was €717 million. In 2021, the UK had the highest level of household culture expenditure in Europe, at €159 million. Germany, France and Italy followed, with expenditure of €111 million, €89 million and €65 million respectively. Albania saw the biggest growth since 2016, with an annual increase of 6.1%. Spain, meanwhile, had the biggest drop, with a 5.2% year-on-year decrease since 2016.
